Prerequisites:
Cisco IOSv (vios-adventerprisek9-m.vmdk.SPA.156-2.T)
Cisco IOSvL2 (vios_l2-adventerprisek9-m.03.2017.qcow2)
GNS3 AAA Server Download
Note:
Since prerequisite for these labs are Cisco VIRL images, Frame Relay Cloud in original topology from the Cisco will be replaced by IOSvL2 switch and configured appropriately to imitate sub-interfaces for the point-to-point links. Access to the Cloud not available. All interfaces on the Cloud are configured as 802.1q Trunk, permitting VLAN 12,23,34.
Objective:
Multiple users from all VLANs reported, that there is no connection to the Internet. The manager said that Kyle network engineer from morning shift was given the task to improve the connection to ISP but apparently he forgot to update documentation, this afternoon he left for vacation and unreachable at this moment! So you have been assigned with the task to investigate this situation and restore connectivity.
Topology:
Instruction:
Open terminal to both Clients PCs and obtain an IP address via DHCP, by typing "ip dhcp" command. Sometimes you need to execute this command twice to obtain an IP address, to eliminate possible DHCP related problems.
By using structural troubleshooting approach define the nature of the problem.
Validation:
When users from VLAN 10 and system administrator of FTP server will be able to successfully ping the Web server, the matter of the issue will be resolved!
